The Serafina lamp is a masterpiece of craftsmanship by the Gargiulo cabinetmaker in Positano.
Since 1897, our cabinet-making has been handing down the techniques and experience of craftsmanship from generation to generation.
The perforations are done manually with historic marquetry machines and the painting is also done by hand, with a brush.
The model is a turquoise blue parallelepiped with a height of 26.5 cm and a side of the base of 11 cm.
It is made up of five perforated faces, with different designs and two-by-two different light projections, one of which also acts as a hat. In particular, the Serafina lamp follows a specular composition, generating brighter and darker areas.
Inside, the lamp is equipped with an energy-saving LED bulb with lamp holder and power cable.
The colors are the result of a careful study by the architect Salvatore Gargiulo and are obtained through acrylics, water-based paints and protected by a layer of fireproof paint.
The concept is a waltz of aesthetics and structural conception; beautiful and powerful like one of the Saracen Towers that today urbanly design the Amalfi Coast.
Gargiulo lamps are an artistic fusion of Islamic art, Amalfi style and modern style and follow a design philosophy defined as "Imperfect Beauty": two lamps of the same model and color will never be perfectly the same because they are completely handmade.
