The Broccato Amalfitano lamp is a masterpiece of craftsmanship of the Gargiulo cabinet-making in Positano.

Since 1897, our cabinet-making has been handing down the techniques and experience of craftsmanship from generation to generation.

The design idea comes from the study of the facade of the "Cathedral of Sant'Andrea", better known as the "Duomo di Amalfi", a structure dating back to the 11th century in Romanesque, Baroque and neo-Moorish style, which majestically overlooks Piazza Duomo, the point nerve center in the period of the famous Maritime Republic and today one of the most beautiful squares in Italy.

Specifically, we are inspired by the play of Moorish arches of the pediment.

The perforations are done manually with historic marquetry machines and the painting is also done by hand, with a brush.

The model is a white parallelepiped with a height of 25 cm and a side of the base of 13.5 cm.

It is made up of five perforated faces, one of which also acts as a hat.

Inside, the lamp is equipped with an energy-saving LED bulb with lamp holder and power cable.

The colors are obtained through acrylics, water-based paints and protected by a layer of fireproof paint.

The concept is a waltz of aesthetics and structural conception; beautiful and powerful like one of the Saracen Towers that today urbanly design the Amalfi Coast.

Amalfi lamps are an artistic fusion of Islamic art, Amalfi style and modern style and follow a design philosophy defined as "Imperfect Beauty": two lamps of the same model and color will never be perfectly the same because they are completely handmade.
