Measures 51.5 x 62.6 cm.
The color is Pompeian red, with a glossy finish.
The shape has two types of mouldings: the thicker external one in Pompeian red and the smaller internal one in rich gold.
The technique used is that of «Cracking», better known from the French «Craquelè», in painting it is the dense network of cracks that forms on the surface of the paintings.
The tones were made with acrylics while the finish with water-based paint.
Inside, a shaped mirror was used, cut by hand with classic glassware tools.
Maestro Gargiulo Antonio, a native of the Amalfi Coast, was inspired by some of the architecture of Positano, creating this sinuous mixed form of art, craftsmanship, architecture and ancient references.
The present shape was also the subject of formal study by the founders of the «Gargiulo» cabinetry workshop (Salvatore and Francesco).
Each piece produced by the Gargiulo cabinetry in Positano is unique in its kind, in terms of shape, color and manufacturing. Like any original artistic and handcrafted piece.
Each of the artifacts made is the result of the generational experience of family craftsmanship that has existed since 1897.
