Measures 26 x 38 cm.
The color is sea blue with a glossy finish, the shape has a uniform color.
The technique used is that of "Cracking", better known from the French "Craquelè", in painting it is the dense network of cracks that forms on the surface of the paintings.
The artifact offers a double section: one inclined and one orthogonal.
The tones were made with acrylics while the finish with water-based paint.
Inside was used a shaped mirror, handcrafted cut, with classical glassware tools.
The MQ form reminds us of episodes of Positano life of the fifties of the last century, where grandfather Francesco Gargiulo (1902 - 1974) frequented the artists of northern Europe hosted in the nascent tourist and cultural Positano. The inspiration comes from the partnership between the craftsman Francesco and the painter Bruno.
Maestro Gargiulo Antonio was inspired by some of the architecture of Positano, a native of the Amalfi Coast, creating this mixed square form of art, craftsmanship, architecture and ancient references.
The present shape was also the subject of formal study by the founders of the cabinetry workshop "Gargiulo" (Salvatore and Francesco).
Each piece produced by the Gargiulo cabinetry of Positano is unique in its kind, in terms of shape, color and manufacture. Like any artistic and handcrafted piece of art.
Each of the manufactured products is the result of the generational experience of family craftsmanship that has existed since 1897.
